Summer is here! You may have noticed jumpsuits in all the shops on the High Street and being worn by many a fashionista. This fab print jumpsuit is from Topshop and is cool and comfortable to wear on a hot Summers day. The other plus is that you only have to think about what to wear on your feet and what shades to wear - it couldn't be easier.

Prints are cool!

Hi,
Summer has arrived again this week and print dresses are a cool option for this weather. Eye popping patterns, tribal, ikat, madras, animal, checks, florals, stripes and digitally manipulated abstract prints can all be found on the High Street. This great dress is from New Look and I am loving the fact that it is also maxi ( no need for constant leg waxes! )
Enjoy the weather, long may it last.

Short Story

Hi,
You may have thought that I had stopped writing my blog, but I have not had the time, life has been hectic, but here I am back again with a short story!
Shorts are big this season, not literally, because wear them
the tinier the better. Styles range from frayed denim, to cycling shorts, to high waist florals. Dress them down by teaming with a slouchy tee, blazer and brogues or dress them up with a lace top and heels.
This pair are from New Look £18, vest £16, waistcoat £30.
Now you just need some sunshine or fake tan and show off your legs.

This outfit from River Island ticks all the boxes. Vest £12.99, harem pants £29.99, shoeboots £49.99, bag £29.99 and sunglasses £14.99.
Relaxed and stylish. Look out for the new season trends coming soon on www.thefashionfix.co.uk

Double Denim

Hi,
Do you remember this look from the first time around? Double denim- wear head to toe denim. Team a denim shirt or denim jacket with your jeans. You will find denim in every High street shop this Spring. Start the season with this look from Primark and move into little denim shorts, as the weather gets warmer.
Will you go double this season?

What kind of girl are you?

Hi,
New season new trends. What to wear this season I hear you shout? Well first of all you need to secide- Am I the kinda girl that likes to look pretty and feminine, or am I the more practical type, that prefers a more sleek and sophisticated look? This season offers fondant colours and sugar coated prettiness for you girly-girls. Ice cream and pastel shades in floaty fabrics ( think Timotei girl). The picture from Miss Selfridge shows the delicate and feminine Spring look.
In contrast, there is the military or utility trend that is both hardwearing and chic. Key items are the parka, military jacket, chinos and cargo/ combat trouser. Layer khakis and neutrals and wear them with lace up boots.
What's your style, girly or military?

The future looks pretty

Hi,
A belated Happy New Year.
Just as we are thawing out, I thought it would be a nice idea to get a little glimpse of what lies ahead, not mystic Meg style, but what you will be wearing in the new season.
Spring/ Summer looks set to be a time to look pretty. Florals and pastels make a comeback, which is refreshing, after a season of black and thermals!
This daisy chain ruched dress from French Connection £75 is just a little taster of what you can expect.
Keep an eye out for www.thefashionfix.co.uk to get a full update of the trends.
Will you be glad to get out of black? I can't wait.
